Logo & Brand Identity Design

What is Logo & Brand Identity Design.

Websites and so many other sources are sprinkled with terms like branding, brand identity, logo design, corporate identity, and brand strategy. Different terms can describe the same thing. Sometimes the same term is used to describe different things. Confusing!

As a branding agency, Ronel aims to make it clearer for the client as to what exactly we do and offer the client.

What Is Required For Brand Identity Design

01

A TV commercial or radio jingle, based on the style alone can make you have a pretty good guess as to who it’s meant for—even before the product or company is revealed. Sometimes you can cover up the logo on a package, ad, or truck and still know who it belongs to. That’s how good identity design works. It’s a cohesive system, not just a logo.

What that system looks like should be based on a strategy. What’s the main idea behind your business? What are your values? What’s your work process? What’s the personality of your company? Who are the like-minded customers who will like what you’re doing? How will we reach these people? What do they need and respond to? What will be the hook that gets them in the door, so they can see how awesome you are? Insights about you, combined with insights about them, will shape your brand identity. When your design connects both parties, you’ve done it right.

Ronel helps clients channel their magic into branding that moves their audience.

What Is A Brand?

A brand is the perception of a company.

A brand is what people think of when they think about a company. It’s the company’s reputation. It’s influenced by the values, products, marketing, and customer service of the company. It’s shaped by news and magazine articles about the company or client, the smell of the company’s premises, and what other people say about the company or client at the grocery store. And yes, it includes logos, websites, and business cards. Everything people encounter when they interact with an entity adds to their perception of that entity. That perception is the brand.

“Branding” is the effort to influence this perception. One might not be able to control what the next person might say but can do what’s within their power to make the right impression.

Brand Identity

A brand identity is a brand’s set of visual and verbal elements.

Of all the parts that make up your brand identity, your logo is the most visible point of recognition. It doesn’t need to tell the world everything you do. It’s simply a tag or identifier. It works as a quick mental trigger for everything you’ve learned about a client or company over time. Even if you knew absolutely nothing about the company, you could still make some guesses about the style and personality of the company by looking at the logo.
